As a Big Data Architect, you will play a central role in shaping the architecture and strategy of large-scale data platforms, supporting multiple customers across diverse industries. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies, including data lakes, data warehouses, streaming architectures, and cloud-native tools on AWS. You will ensure technical excellence, provide mentorship to peers, and contribute to the development of robust DataOps processes. Accountabilities:
- Design, architect, and implement end-to-end big data solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and advanced analytics platforms.
- Lead technical decisions, architecture reviews, and provide guidance to engineering teams.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable project backlogs and oversee engineering deliverables.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and compliance standards.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams, fostering knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Product Managers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality cloud-native applications.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Produce architectural documentation, technical assessments, and cost estimations.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience designing and delivering big data solutions.
- 3+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions, particularly in AWS.
- Deep knowledge of data platform lifecycle, DataOps, and building enterprise-grade data architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with Spark/PySpark, Python, streaming architectures, and distributed systems.
- Experience with data governance, security, multi-tenant models, and enterprise BI solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
- Preferred: experience with data mesh, dbt, emerging technologies, and professional services consulting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1).

- Base salary range: $140,000 - $157,500 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
