Accountabilities:
- Provide technical support to internal teams by applying hands-on automotive or truck repair expertise in a remote call center environment.
- Evaluate repair recommendations for necessity, accuracy, and alignment with industry standards and real-world mechanical knowledge.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is appropriately scoped, fairly priced, and technically sound.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through technical review and document realized savings when applicable.
- Validate preventative maintenance schedules and ensure consistent adherence to recommended service standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining performance metrics and service quality expectations.
- Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and composure in a fast-paced, remote operational environment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive or truck repair (mechanic, technician, or shop foreman background).
- Valid mechanic’s license (310S or 310T).
- Fully bilingual in English and French.
- Experience in a contact center or customer support environment is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- ASE certification or willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical knowledge into clear guidance.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure in a remote setting.
