This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Security Architect - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and compliance of cloud environments while supporting important government projects. The position entails extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security measures that align with regulatory requirements, such as FedRAMP and NIST standards. Your expertise will drive the design of secure cloud architectures, support automation initiatives, and ensure best practices in cloud security are followed. This is a remote position that requires a proactive approach to security challenges in a dynamic environment.
Accountabilities
- Serve as the technical cloud security engineering resource supporting DOJ and BOP Rapid ATO activities.
- Implement, configure, and secure cloud-native architectures supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Integrate security controls into cloud infrastructure using DevSecOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Ensure cloud security implementations align with DOJ cybersecurity policies, NIST standards, FedRAMP requirements, and RMF processes.
- Support secure configuration and hardening of cloud services, workloads, and applications.
- Assist in defining authorization boundaries for cloud-hosted systems and environments.
- Support automated discovery and inventory of cloud resources using continuous scanning tools.
- Provide technical input for control allocation and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) development.
Requirements
- Active Public Trust clearance.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a focus on cloud-native architectures and security.
- Experience using AWS Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Palo Alto.
- Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in AWS.
- Minimum of one relevant certification (CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CAP).
