Accountabilities:
The Commercial Manager will play a key role in driving commercial performance by providing financial expertise, strategic insights, and decision support across corporate and technology functions. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical capability, and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance, efficiency, and value creation across corporate and technology operations.
- Provide detailed commercial insights across customer service, technology, and other business functions.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and performance review activities across the assigned portfolio.
- Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic investments and planning decisions.
- Establish and manage commercial frameworks across different business units.
- Support investment governance processes, including benefits tracking, financial modelling, and scenario evaluation.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities, risks, and improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
- Deliver clear, data-driven reporting and recommendations to support senior leadership decisions.
- Improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools through continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial finance experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments. They should combine technical financial expertise with a proactive mindset and strong business partnership capabilities.
- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent professional finance qualification with experience in commercial or operational finance roles.
- Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes in fast-paced, complex organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and convert it into practical business insights.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and financial modelling.
- Understanding of operational drivers, corporate functions, and investment portfolio management.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using tools such as Power BI, TM1, ERP systems, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
