This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Corporate Counsel. This role is critical in providing legal support specifically tailored for commercial sales teams. You will serve as a trusted partner, interacting directly with stakeholders to facilitate transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence the success of various training programs and initiatives that support both local and international business strategies. Your expertise will help shape commercial relationships and drive the legal support needed for business growth.
Accountabilities
- Providing support on transactional matters including legal advice, contract negotiation and drafting
- Delivering best in practice professional legal services aligned with the strategic drivers of the business
- Building relationships to become a trusted business partner, managing stakeholders effectively
- Acting as a role model within the team, endorsing team principles of collaboration and communication
Requirements
- Substantial in-house legal experience (7 to 10 years+) and preferably experience working for a law firm
- Experience working in an international environment
- Extensive experience with North American customers
- Excellent academic qualifications and relevant experience in legal advisory roles
- Well-developed technical knowledge of relevant areas of law, including IP and licensing
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively
- Collaborative team player with leadership qualities
- Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus
