In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to building the next generation Live Media Asset Management (MAM) platform. Your influence will extend from architectural decisions to global production scale, ensuring the success of large-scale live events. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, you will integrate complex systems to create a seamless media platform. Accountabilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers building the Live MAM platform from architecture to global production scale.
- Own the technical direction and execution for integrating the third-party MAM with the hybrid on-prem/AWS infrastructure.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions for live sports and event workflows.
- Define and oversee key platform services around the MAM including ingest orchestration and media/metadata normalization.
- Drive architecture and build-vs-buy decisions, translating business goals into a realistic engineering roadmap.
- Foster operational excellence, reliability, and observability for real-time live workflows.
- Coach and develop engineers while representing the team in cross-functional forums.
Requirements
- 5+ years in software engineering with 2–3+ years in an engineering leadership role delivering complex, distributed systems.
- Experience with media platforms, MAM/DAM systems, or complex, data-rich domains.
- Comfortable in a hybrid cloud + on-prem environment, understanding large-scale storage and event-driven architectures.
- Possess a platform mindset focused on reusable services and clear APIs.
- Deep care for reliability, observability, and operational readiness, especially for time-critical live events.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with business, product, and operations teams.
- Proven experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers to build high-performing teams.
