Accountabilities:
The .Net Application Programmer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining business applications while ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design and develop robust software architectures and scalable application solutions.
- Build new applications and features using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and SQL Server.
- Enhance and maintain existing software applications to improve functionality, performance, and system integration.
- Develop and support web-based applications, service-oriented architectures, and database-driven solutions.
- Design and optimize relational database solutions in collaboration with database specialists.
- Create interactive reports and analytics solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions by collaborating with analysts and stakeholders.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and support.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to support application development and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot software issues, investigate defects, and implement solutions to improve system performance.
- Collaborate independently and as part of a development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has professional experience developing enterprise applications with Microsoft technologies and possesses strong knowledge of software engineering principles. Success in this role requires technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant .NET development experience; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Strong programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server, and GitHub.
- Experience developing and supporting web-based applications, service-oriented architectures, and database systems.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of relational database design and application integration concepts.
- Experience across the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, including successful completion of required government background screening.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL practices, UI frameworks, Microsoft DevOps, or related technologies is a plus.
- Previous experience supporting government or energy-sector environments is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, MCSD, or similar credentials are advantageous.
