About the Role
Our data analytics function is the strategic engine that fuels data-driven decision-making across the entire organization. As a data leader you are the architect of our company’s most valuable intangible asset: our data. You will move beyond the traditional function of analytics to lead a high-impact, global organization that treats data as a profit center, expanding across internal data and to building a Data as a Product framework. Reporting to the C-Suite, you will bridge the gap between Engineering, Product, GTM, and Finance across EMEA and APAC to build a unified, scalable data ecosystem that fuels our path to IPO and beyond.
We move beyond simply making data visible to defining what data matters and how it is used to achieve critical business outcomes, strategic alignment, and operational excellence globally. The Director will lead the global strategy for analytics, ensuring data insights drive impactful results for all business units and JumpCloud customers, particularly within the fast-paced SaaS and Cybersecurity landscape.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Define and Champion the Global Data Strategy: Own, develop, and execute the 3-5 year roadmap for the company’s internal and external data lifecycle , ensuring alignment with the overall company and product strategy. This includes identifying key opportunities for leveraging data to drive revenue, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Executive Stakeholder Management & Influence: Act as the primary strategic partner to C-level executives (CFO, COO, CTO, CMO) and senior leadership across Engineering, Product, and GTM. Proactively present complex data narratives and actionable insights that drive significant organizational investment and policy change.
- Define and execute a global strategy to monetize data insights, both internally (to drive expansion/retention) and externally (through productized data offerings and establishing data as a product framework).
- Lead and Scale the Data Function: Provide inspirational leadership and mentorship to the Manager-level reports and the broader team. Be accountable for the organizational structure, talent development, succession planning, and performance management of the entire data domain.
- Drive Data Governance and Quality: Establish and enforce global data governance policies, quality standards, and compliance frameworks relevant to a SaaS organization (e.g., security, privacy, international standards). Be the ultimate owner of data integrity and reliability across the enterprise.
- Operational and Financial Oversight: Own and manage the departmental budget, technology stack investments (e.g., tools, platforms, data infrastructure), and vendor relationships. Ensure maximum ROI on all data-related initiatives.
- Accelerate Organizational Efficiency: Systematically identify, prioritize, and eliminate enterprise-level data silos and highly inefficient systems/processes across internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, etc.), using data insight to compel necessary transformation.
- Define and Execute a Data Product Vision: Work with Engineering, Product, and Customers to define a framework and vision for Data as a Product and drive customer adoption.
- Cultivate a Data-Driven Culture: Champion the adoption of analytics best practices and data literacy across all functions. Shift the organization's mindset from reporting what happened to predicting what will happen and prescribing action.

- Strategic Visionary and Transformation Agent: A proven leader who can look beyond the immediate data request to define the foundational capabilities needed for future success. Must demonstrate the ability to drive large-scale, enterprise-wide change initiatives through data.
- Architectural Intuition: You understand what it takes to design and build a scalable, reusable, and governed data architecture and telemetry that can be used to empower not only internal teams, but be leveraged by customers.
- Master of Cross-Organizational Influence: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with senior leaders, using data and influence to drive outcomes in highly matrixed environments, especially across international geographies (EMEA/APAC and North America).
- High Accountability and Ownership: Holds ultimate accountability for the success and failure of the Enterprise Data Analytics function and the Data as a Product framework. Exemplifies ownership, transparency, and a high bar for team performance and ethical data usage.
- Servant Leadership Philosophy: Dedicated to the success and career growth of direct and extended team members while balancing strategic objectives. Values humility and shared success while demonstrating decisiveness when accountability is required.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Managers and Principals across international time zones. You are responsible for building a talent pipeline that is as comfortable with business P&L as they are with data science.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive Analytics Expertise: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of enterprise data analytics, Visualization , data warehousing, BI strategy, and predictive modeling within a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
- Extensive Data as a Product Expertise: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of data contracts, database architecture, data governance, productionalizing data, data engineering standards, and product management lifecycle
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading a functional domain or department, including managing Managers and being fully accountable for resource allocation, strategy, and personnel decisions.
- Strategic Financial Impact: Demonstrated experience in departmental budgeting, leading significant strategic planning efforts, and driving procedural/technological change that has measurable financial and operational impact.
- Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics) and at least 10-15 years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership or Director-level capacity.
