About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of complex, distributed systems. In this role, you will be at the intersection of engineering and operations, leveraging modern observability practices and reliability frameworks to proactively identify risks, improve system resilience, and drive operational maturity.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, translating technical reliability insights into clear business impact. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead calmly and effectively during high-impact incidents

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain reliability practices for large-scale, distributed systems
• Lead and support incident response efforts, providing calm, structured leadership during outages and critical events.
• Build and enhance observability capabilities using modern monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
• Analyze reliability metrics and translate them into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes using ITSM frameworks and operational maturity models
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify system risks, improve resilience, and reduce operational toil
• Evaluate and adopt AI/ML-driven monitoring and automation solutions where appropriate
• Drive post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
• Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs

What you bring

• 5+ years of proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Reliability Engineer in complex, distributed systems.
• Strong expertise with observability tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven monitoring solutions is a plus.
• Solid understanding of ITSM frameworks and operational maturity models.
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate technical reliability metrics into business impact.
• Calm, structured leadership during incidents and crisis
