About the Role:
Loop is building a Developer Relations function to support developers integrating with Loop's public APIs. As our Developer Success Engineer, you'll be the hands-on expert guide for external developers, including agencies, system integrators, and in-house engineering teams, as they build integrations into Loop. You'll help them get oriented, set up, and successfully launch, and you'll bring their feedback back into the product.
AI at Loop Engineering
Engineering at Loop is AI-first; not aspirationally, but operationally. Every engineer is provisioned with Claude Code and Cursor, and we expect AI agents to be your default starting point before you open a file. The role has shifted: you are not primarily a writer of code. You are the judgment layer. You are the person who determines what should be built, validates that what was built is correct, and owns the outcome in production. AI handles a growing share of implementation. You own everything that surrounds it.
Our Blended Work Environment:
We work from our HQ in Columbus, OH, and are distributed throughout the United States, select Canadian provinces, United Kingdom, and Australia. For this position, we're looking for a teammate located in the United States.
Our Tech Stack:
PHP/Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, AWS, Serverless. Our hiring process is tech-stack agnostic.
What You'll Do:
- Guide external developers through Loop's APIs and help them plan their integrations before they start building.
- Set up and maintain sandbox environments that give integration partners a reliable space to build and test against Loop's platform.
- Support developers through testing and validation, helping them verify their integrations work as expected before going live with a client.
- Troubleshoot integration issues as they arise, working closely with internal Engineering and Product teams to get external developers unblocked quickly.
- Create and maintain client-facing technical documentation, including API guides, integration walkthroughs, and troubleshooting resources, that helps developers self-serve and succeed.
- Partner with the Onboarding team to train and launch new Loop Anywhere clients, serving as the technical resource from kickoff through go-live.
- Collect and communicate feedback from external developers to Product and Engineering, helping Loop's platform evolve based on real-world integration experience.
Your Experience:
- You have 2-4 years of experience as a software engineer, with exposure to APIs, integrations, and developer-facing platforms.
- You're comfortable working with modern web stacks; experience with PHP/Laravel is a plus, though we hire for aptitude over specific stack.
- You can write clear, useful technical documentation, including API references, step-by-step guides, and tutorials, and care about making complex things approachable.
- You're familiar with e-commerce ecosystems and have hands-on experience with webhooks, event-driven patterns, or third-party integrations.
- You're energized by working directly with developers, translating technical complexity into actionable guidance.
- You're curious about AI tooling and how it can improve the developer experience.
- You operate with intensity and hold a high bar; for your own work and for the people around you. You give direct feedback, ask for help early, and respond to setbacks with ownership rather than withdrawal.
- You can share examples of learning from mistakes, asking for help, and growing through feedback.
