As the NBC News Booking Coordinator, you will work as part of NBC News’ Booking and Editorial Unit, responsible for booking guests across all platforms of NBC News, including TODAY, Weekend TODAY, Nightly News, Weekend Nightly News, Meet the Press, Dateline, Specials, as well as our streaming network NBC News NOW and all digital platforms. In addition, you will be supporting the SVP of Booking & Editorial on all aspects of team coordination, including scheduling support, meeting preparation, and tracking daily team updates as well as weekly and ongoing long-term booking pursuits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage short- and long-term bookings across multiple NBC News platforms.
- Pitch story ideas and work on assigned bookings as they are launched by editorial teams and shows.
- Coordinate guest travel and live shot logistics in partnership with production teams and arrange editorial guidance and pre-interviews with segment producers.
- Support on-set guest coordination, helping to manage multiple guests from arrival through their segment across various NBC News NOW shows.
- Compile, maintain, and share booking lists to support team organization and communication internally and across the News division.
- Support the SVP of Booking & Editorial with overall team coordination and serve as a primary liaison across Booking team verticals.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in production or booking at the network level.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree.

- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
- Schedules will vary but must be able to work all shifts, including overnights. Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shifts with little or no notice if needed.
- Must be willing to travel with little notice and for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

- Gets chills from the “Good Evening” first line on evening news broadcasts and appreciates a New York Post front page pun.
- Must be ok with rejection, even when you want to crawl under your desk. There’s always another booking to jump on!
- Eager to go down a research rabbit hole on newsmakers, stories and potential guests.
- Feels extreme excitement over an exclusive graphic, especially when it is on an interview the team booked.
- Understands how to work with people in serious, sometimes complicated and stressful situations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Strong knowledge of all social media platforms.
- Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events.

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary Range: $25 - $30/hr
