The Director, Business Affairs will be primarily responsible for negotiating deals related to the development and production of scripted programming for the NBC broadcast network and Peacock streaming service. The role will include, but not be limited to, working with the internal NBCU studios, negotiating deals with third party studios, and handling various aspects of scripted programming from the perspective of the buying platform.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Negotiate all aspects of scripted programming deals for NBC and Peacock with both in-house and third-party studios, serving as the point person on assigned projects for the Business Affairs team.
• Draft initial term sheets and negotiate comments seeing through to completion and signature short form agreements reflecting negotiated deal points.
• Coordinate with Legal Affairs department and review longform agreements and standard terms for accuracy of terms negotiated and consistency with term sheets.
• Advise creative team, production executives, casting, marketing, communications, finance and similar departments with respect to various issues.
• Handle day-to-day business affairs issues for projects in development and in production, including opining on above-the-line talent deals, advising on production issues, and handling product integrations, custom content, and other advertiser material associated with programming.
• Help to maintain library of forms and policies.

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the Universal City, California office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $125,000 - $165,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
