A day in the life
You’ll sit right at the heart of how PEXA Clear runs its AML operations, shaping how risk is assessed, decisions are made, and customers are onboarded safely and smoothly.
On any given day, you might:
- Work with AML Operations, Product and Tech to refine onboarding or monitoring workflows, including tricky exceptions and escalations
- Review queues, manage priorities, and step into complex AML cases that need sound judgement
- Tune risk criteria and decisioning rules based on what you’re seeing in live operations
- Dig into metrics and QA insights to spot patterns and drive practical improvements
- Translate operational needs into clear change requests or system updates
- Partner with Risk, Legal and Technology to keep controls strong, compliant and workable
It’s a hands-on, operational role, less about writing policy, more about making AML work in the real world.
About the role
This role exists to ensure PEXA Clear’s AML/CTF capability is operationally sound, scalable and embedded into day-to-day execution. You’ll play a key role in both shaping the AML operating model and owning its ongoing performance as a Line 1 risk function.
Key capabilities we’re looking for:
- AML operational design & risk criteria definition – translating regulatory requirements into practical workflows and decisioning
- BAU AML operations ownership – managing queues, exceptions, SLAs and quality outcomes
- UAT & go-live readiness – validating that systems and processes work end-to-end before and after launch
- Stakeholder translation – bridging operations, technology and risk with clarity and confidence
What success looks like in the first 6–12 months:
- AML onboarding and monitoring workflows are live, stable and running smoothly
- Line 1 AML risks are being executed consistently, with clear audit trails and controls
- Exceptions and exemption cases are handled confidently and on time
- Risk criteria and decisioning rules are actively maintained and improved using real operational insights
- Strong working relationships are in place across Ops, Tech, Risk and Legal
