The Recruiting Intern supports high-volume, seasonal recruiting and onboarding for Game Day Representatives and other league operations roles within the RCX Sports Foundation. This internship is designed for a college student who has completed at least two years of coursework and is entering their junior or senior year.
What is a Game Day Representative? Game Day Representatives are seasonal, on-site staff who support NFL FLAG league events on game days. They help keep games running smoothly by coordinating with coaches and referees, supporting field setup and logistics, and helping maintain an organized, positive experience for athletes and families.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with the day-to-day coordination work that keeps hiring moving, including job postings, scheduling, offer letters, background checks, onboarding documentation, and employee updates in Rippling. Your work helps the People Ops team stay organized while giving you practical exposure to recruiting operations, HR systems, candidate communication, and seasonal workforce support.
Job Responsibilities
- Recruiting operations and coordination (seasonal, on-site event staff)
- Assist with job postings end-to-end, including creating and posting roles, monitoring posting performance, and closing postings at the right time in coordination with the League Operations team.
- Support League Coordinators with posting troubleshooting, candidate flow administration, interview scheduling, and collecting interview feedback.
- Offer and pre-employment processing
- Assist with creating and sending offer letters using established templates and processes.
- Initiate and track background checks, follow up on missing items, and maintain clear status notes with guidance from the People Ops team.
- Process onboarding packet requirements and ensure completeness and timely submission.
- Onboarding and compliance support
- Support I-9 verification workflows and coordinate completion and review steps per internal process.
- Track new hire training completion in Rippling and follow up on gaps.
- Maintain accurate employee files and documentation standards for seasonal staff.
- HRIS Support: Employee changes and offboarding
- Process rehires, pay rate changes, and supervisor or league assignment changes.
- Assist seasonal employees with Rippling updates and troubleshooting, including personal information updates, bank account changes, mobile app assistance, etc.
- Support seasonal offboarding, including termination processing and communications aligned to team guidelines.
- Additional support (as needed)
- Conduct phone screens for Game Day Representatives and support pipeline nurturing to maintain an active bench of candidates during peak season.
- Provide phone screening support for Foundation roles beyond Game Day Representatives.
- Support 1099 officials processing, including agreement routing and background check
- Assist with creating training materials
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed at least two years of college coursework and currently entering junior or senior year.
- Interest in Human Resources, Recruiting, People Operations, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Prior internship, part-time work, campus leadership, customer service, administrative, or recruiting/HR exposure preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows at once and keep clear status tracking.
- Strong written communication and follow-through with candidates and internal partners.
- Comfort learning new systems quickly; prior ATS/HRIS exposure preferred.

- Monday – Friday, hours can be flexible between 8am and 6pm ET

- Compensation Structure: Hourly, FLSA Non-Exempt, Paid Weekly
