Role Overview
The Performance Marketing Specialist will lead paid advertising efforts, starting with paid social campaigns on Meta and expanding into paid search and additional channels over time. This role is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling campaigns that attract players, sponsors, and event attendees, while using data from e-commerce and analytics platforms to inform decisions and maximize ROI.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and launch targeted ad campaigns on Meta, focusing on audience segmentation, ad copy, and visuals tailored to pickleball audiences.
Manage and optimize budgets to achieve cost-effective results, scaling spend as performance improves.
Monitor and optimize campaigns in real time based on performance metrics and business goals.
Track and evaluate key performance indicators including CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversions, and engagement.
Analyze creative performance, run A/B tests, and report insights to refine future campaigns.
Provide clear reporting and recommendations based on campaign results.
Brainstorm and propose new creative concepts, including user-generated content, video highlights, and seasonal promotions.
Collaborate with designers or external freelancers to bring concepts to life while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Integrate and interpret data from Shopify, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads to inform optimization and attribution.
Advise on marketing attribution strategies to measure ad impact accurately across channels.
Support expansion into paid search and other platforms as the league grows.
Stay current on platform best practices, algorithm updates, and performance marketing trends.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing Meta paid social campaigns with hands-on Ads Manager ownership.
Experience running paid search campaigns in Google Ads, including keyword research, bidding strategies, and remarketing.
Experience working with Shopify data and Google Analytics for performance analysis.
Background in performance marketing for e-commerce or event-based businesses.
Strong understanding of marketing attribution strategies and revenue tracking.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Creative mindset with experience developing ad concepts and collaborating with designers.
Proficiency with performance marketing tools, including Meta Business Suite, Google Ads Editor, and Google Tag Manager.
Strong grasp of performance marketing best practices and data-driven optimization.
