SaaS Developer (Vue & Laravel)

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

Role Overview

They're looking for a talented Vue and Laravel SaaS Developer. As part of their team, you will play a crucial role in the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of their SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Vue.js, PHP, and Laravel, and experience working in a collaborative development environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Vue and Laravel-based SaaS applications.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Debug and resolve application issues and bugs.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD workflows.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in web development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript (Vue.js preferred) and PHP (Laravel preferred).

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.

• Knowledge of version control tools (Git).

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Vue.js Skills:

• Creating and using Vue components that go up to 3 levels deep.

• Ability to pass data to and from child components.

• Familiarity with InertiaJS and Axios.

Desired Laravel Skills:

• Familiar with creating and using database migrations.

• Familiar with Eloquent to create complex database queries.

• Familiar with creating and using Mailables.

• Familiar with PHP MVC. We use Services as our "models" (a plus).

• Familiar with creating and using Policies in Laravel (a plus).

Bonus:

• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS is very helpful.

• Familiarity with WordPress and/or Shopify is helpful.

• Familiarity with managing servers is also a plus.
