We are looking for an Associate Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer who is curious, motivated, and excited to grow their career in cloud security. This role is ideal for someone who already has some exposure to AWS and security concepts and wants to deepen their expertise in securing modern cloud-native infrastructure.

You will work closely with experienced engineers across our Platform, Infrastructure, and Security teams, gaining hands-on experience while helping protect our systems and improve our security posture. Along the way, you will develop practical skills in cloud security, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and security operations.

This role offers flexibility and will be based in Budapest with a hybrid schedule including occasional travel to our other offices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Identity & Access Management

• Support the management of user permissions across multiple tools and systems, including AWS IAM. You will help maintain secure access controls and contribute to improving our identity management processes.

Security Tooling

• Help maintain and improve our security tooling, including endpoint protection solutions and infrastructure monitoring tools that help protect our cloud environment and internal systems.

Security Monitoring & Investigation

• Assist with monitoring security alerts and investigating unusual events. You will learn how to analyze potential threats and support incident response activities alongside experienced security engineers.

Infrastructure Security Reviews

• Review infrastructure-related Terraform pull requests to help ensure new resources are deployed securely and follow cloud security best practices.

Threat Intelligence Awareness

• Monitor relevant security advisories and threat intelligence feeds, helping the team stay aware of potential risks affecting our infrastructure or technology stack.

WHAT YOU’ll BRING:

• We’re looking for someone who is motivated to learn and grow in cloud security. The following experiences are helpful, but we value curiosity and learning potential just as much as prior experience.

• Some experience working with AWS or other big cloud provider (Azure, GCP), especially IAM concepts and permission management
  

• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, or cloud infrastructure
  

• Interest in or exposure to security operations or incident monitoring
  

• Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code concepts
  

• Basic scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages
  

• Exposure to containers or Kubernetes concepts
  

• Good communication skills and fluency in English
  

• A strong curiosity about security engineering and a desire to continuously learn

(AMAZING IF YOU ALSO HAVE):

• Hands-on AWS experience from a DevOps, platform, or cloud engineering background
  

• Familiarity with Kubernetes security concepts
  

• Exposure to threat hunting or detection engineering
  

• Understanding of web application or API security
  

• Strong experience working with Terraform
