SigNoz is an open-source observability platform - a modern alternative to Datadog and New Relic. We help engineering teams monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and ship better software faster. Backed by Y Combinator and top investors, we've built a passionate community of 25,000+ GitHub stars and 7,000+ Slack members.
We are growing fast and looking for folks who could help in our journey to become the default open source observability product
We're looking for someone exceptional to work directly with the founders on SigNoz's highest-leverage problems. This is not a "chief of staff" role where you manage calendars and slide decks. This is a builder role - you'll own strategic initiatives end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to executing and measuring outcomes.
What you'll actually do:
Drive growth experiments across acquisition channels - outbound, partnerships, product-led growth, community
Analyze customer and market data to identify expansion opportunities and inform go-to-market strategy
Build operational systems and playbooks that scale our sales and marketing efforts
Own special projects that don't fit neatly into existing teams but matter enormously
This role is intentionally undefined. You'll shape it based on what SigNoz needs most and where you can have the biggest impact.
You must have:
Strong analytical foundation - you're comfortable with data, can build models, and let numbers guide decisions
Bias for execution - you don't just strategize, you ship. You'll roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself
Engineering or technical degree (B.Tech/BS in CS, EE, or similar)
2-5 years of experience in high-performance environments
We especially value:
Ivy League/IIT/IIM or equivalent top-tier institution background
Experience at Bain, BCG, McKinsey, or similar strategy consulting firms
Founder experience in technical domains (even if the venture didn't work out - we value the muscle)
Startup experience where you've worn multiple hats
You're a great fit if you:
Get energy from ambiguity and can structure problems independently
Move fast and iterate - you'd rather ship something imperfect today than perfect next month
Are comfortable in technical conversations with engineering teams
Want to eventually start your own company or move into growth/product leadership
For future founders: This is the best preparation for starting a company. You'll see how decisions get made at every level, work on problems across functions, and build pattern recognition that takes years to develop otherwise.
For future growth leaders: You'll get exposure to the full spectrum—sales, marketing, product, operations—with real ownership. This accelerates your path to leadership roles by 3-5 years.
What we offer:
Competitive salary + meaningful equity
Direct access to and mentorship from founders
Autonomy to drive initiatives that matter
Remote first culture
