SEO Leadership Institute provides ongoing development for SEO alumni, customized for each stage of their career, with three distinct features: making connections, professional and personal development, and civic engagement.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Talent Opportunity Center (TOC) allows middle market alternative investment firms to share career opportunities with SEO alumni experienced in finance and banking. SEO talent partners can share their roles with more than 2,600 investment banking and asset management professionals, including 1,200 with one to five years’ experience, presently working at Wall Street’s leading investment banking firms and seeking buy-side roles.

We are seeking an Assistant Director, TOC who will be responsible for leading the operations for the Talent Opportunity Center and supporting various elements of the Leadership Institute. The Assistant Director, TOC is expected to take a leadership role in continuing the build of the Talent Opportunity Center offering. The Assistant Director, TOC will work with SEO leadership, alternative investment and financial services firms, alumni and other partners to create professional opportunities for alumni, facilitate personal and professional development opportunities for SEO’s alumni, and other projects to meet organizational goals and meet the Leadership Institute’s impact. This role requires a highly motivated, strategic thinker with excellent business development relationship and project management, and communication skills.

Partner Recruitment & Management

• Recruit alternative investment/financial services firms as talent partners.
• Manage relationships with new and existing talent partners to source and promote their opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with firms and organizations to provide professional development opportunities to SEO alumni.
• Manage all Leadership Institute projects to ensure that program deliverables are on-time and on-goal and meet the expectations of funders.

Candidate Development

• Cultivate database of experienced SEO alumni for available opportunities through relationship building.
• Provide support and advice to experienced professionals seeking their next role in their careers.
• Identify and develop training opportunities for job seekers.
• Match qualified talent to opportunities.

Leadership Institute Initiatives

• Develop professional development opportunities for TOC candidates, including workshops, mock interviews and skills training.
• Support professional development and alumni engagement programming development, including recruiting facilitators and panelists
• Support the development of presentations, webinars, program materials, and assist with tracking of responses to surveys and other constituent inquiries.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Director of Leadership Institute and team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Marketing & Events Operations

• Leverage Monday.com and other project management tools to track partners and candidates.
• Promote open opportunities using direct marketing platforms, email campaigns, text, phone calls.
• Provide onsite support during various Leadership Institute events (sometimes outside of regular business hours).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of professional experience; Strong knowledge of the alternative investments or related industry.
• Experience with program evaluation and measurement preferred.

• Practiced verbal and interpersonal communication skills; must be comfortable speaking to and engaging with a wide range of communities) and through different avenues, including in-person, email, messaging platforms, video chats/conferencing, and phone calls.
• Technical proficiency in MS Office, GSuite, and standard workplace applications like Zoom and Box. Intermediate skills in Canva, Salesforce, and Excel are strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple competing priorities.
