Study.com is looking for a strategic and data-driven SEO & Generative Search Manager. This role combines deep SEO expertise with forward-thinking leadership in AI-powered and generative search environments. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, BI, and content teams to drive scalable organic growth, while also leading experimentation and reporting around AI Overviews, SGE, and emerging search platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and more.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead SEO and AIO experiments with measurable goals, analyze results, and delivery performance reports to leadership with actionable insights
- Own the creation of dashboards to monitor SEO KPIs including rankings, CTR, impressions, and Core Web Vitals
- Manage key technical SEO assets, including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, and structured data
- Conduct advanced technical SEO audits and implement improvements in crawlability, indexation, structured data, and performance
- Optimize structured content (e.g. metadata schemas, llms.txt, semantic markup) to influence LLM citation likelihood
- Drive Study.com’s AIO strategy by researching inclusion factors in AI Overviews and testing structured content formats
- Implement and optimize schema types (e.g., FAQ, Q&A, HowTo) for Answer Engine Optimization, featured snippets, and LLM discoverability
- Explore and deploy AI-powered SEO tools for automating metadata generation, content gap detection, and keyword clustering
- Own and evolve the SEO roadmap based on data trends, algorithm changes, and business priorities
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 5-8 years of experience in SEO with demonstrated success across audits, implementation, and performance analysis
- Deep knowledge of tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and schema testing utilities
- Experience implementing schema for snippets and AI visibility (e.g., FAQ, Q&A, HowTo)
- Ability to communicate complex SEO concepts to cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Content)
- Hands-on experience in generative search platforms and LLM behavior
- Strong grasp of structured data, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals, and scalable QA workflows
- Proficiency with Tableau or similar data platforms preferred
