We're looking for a Commercial & Product Counsel to join our Legal team. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to help Supabase ship products faster, close enterprise deals more efficiently, avoid regulatory missteps, and develop our IP portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
Negotiate enterprise SaaS agreements, licensing deals, reseller contracts, and partnership terms.
Act as primary product counsel—embed with product teams from concept through launch.
Advise on global privacy compliance and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain legal playbooks, templates, and compliance frameworks.
10+ years of legal experience, with significant in-house tech experience (ideally SaaS).
Strong commercial contracting and product counseling background.
Deep privacy law expertise (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)—privacy certification (CIPP/E or CIPP/US) a plus.
Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with IP/patents or open-source licensing.
International employment law knowledge.
International tax structuring for SaaS.
Business-minded, not just risk-averse—you don't just want to be told what the law is, but what our solution to our problem should be.
Strong communicator and relationship builder who is self-starting and self-directed.
Comfortable in ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
