· Own components, patterns, and usage guidelines from definition to delivery.

· Proactively identify gaps in the enterprise system and translate insights into accessible, inclusive, and scalable solutions.

· Create prototypes to demo, test, and communicate component behavior to stakeholders.

· Facilitate ideation and problem-solving with teammates and stakeholders.

· Ensure consistency and efficiency across the system; propose new components or improvements when needed.

· Define how design and code intersect, including AI-driven and token-aware surface needs.

· Validate and refine components through feedback, usability testing, and data analysis.

· Deliver clear documentation and handover materials for seamless developer implementation.

· Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to shape system decisions.

· Contribute to raising design maturity and improving design processes across the organisation

· Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in design systems and AI tooling.

5+ years of professional UX design experience

· Degree or vocational qualification in UX, HCI, or a related field.

· Deep knowledge of design systems; not just how they work, but why. · Hands-on experience integrating design systems with AI tooling and token-based interactions.

· Skilled in Figma for component and pattern design, prototyping, and documentation.

· Experienced working across design, engineering, and accessibility.

· Strong collaborator with clear communication across Engineers, PMs, and Designers.

· Passionate about accessibility, inclusivity, and solving complex system-level challenges.

· Proactive mindset; you come with a plan, not just intent.

· Portfolio showing end-to-end design system work at meaningful scale.
