We are looking for a detail-oriented Job Costing Analyst with strong experience in ServiceTitan to manage job costing, project evaluation, and financial analysis across service-based trades such as roofing, HVAC, and solar. This role requires high accuracy in data entry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with detailed financial and operational data to assess job profitability.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, understands job-level costing structures, and can translate raw data into clear insights for decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
Job Costing & Financial Analysis
- Maintain accurate job costing records in ServiceTitan, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
- Analyze estimated vs. actual job costs and identify variances
- Monitor job profitability and margins across roofing, HVAC, and solar projects
- Support project evaluation by reviewing cost efficiency and financial performance
Data Entry & Reporting
- Enter and validate job, invoice, and cost data with high accuracy
- Gather data from multiple sources (technicians, purchase orders, invoices, vendor bills)
- Prepare job costing reports and summaries for management review
- Ensure data integrity and consistency within ServiceTitan
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, project managers, and accounting/bookkeeping teams
- Support reconciliation of job costs with financial records
- Flag discrepancies, missing costs, or unusual variances for resolution
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements:
- Proven experience using ServiceTitan (required)
- Strong background in job costing or project cost analysis
- Experience supporting service-based or construction trades (HVAC, roofing, solar preferred)
- High attention to detail with strong data entry and financial accuracy
- Comfortable handling large volumes of cost and job data
- Solid understanding of labor, material, and overhead cost structures
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis and reporting
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work full-time remotely

- Experience working with accounting or bookkeeping teams
