Insight Investment is looking for Asset Transitions & Onboarding Specialist to join the Asset Transitions & Onboarding team in London. The primary purpose of the role is to coordinate and manage transition and new client onboarding activity. This role will work closely with the Client Service Group, wider Operations area, the outsourced back office and other external parties, such as asset managers, to facilitate transition projects and onboarding setup.
Role Responsibilities
- Being a project lead for each client setup, effectively coordinating and working with various groups across the firm (e.g. Client Directors, Fund managers, Sales, Legal, Risk, Operations, etc.)
- Providing management and oversight (for each project / setup) of outsourced service providers (including the back office)
- Resolve issues as they arise
- Liaising and work with external parties as needed. This will mostly be in an operational context with custodians, external investment managers and transition managers, but might include some liaison with clients or consultants
- Following agreed process, including updating case information on Salesforce, producing detailed project plans/timelines, and ensuring that proper peer review and 4 eye checks are completed
- Providing clear and accurate instructions to outsource transition service providers, Northern Trust and ensure that the Northern Trust team deliver to deadlines and/or those issues are escalated in a timely manner
- Liaising with internal teams / client / back-office areas regarding operational setup parameters and progress
- Initiating & managing requests for all required systems to facilitate account set up / trading in all products/markets required
- Managing deliverables critical to a transition or client change with internal & external meetings and status calls with the relevant groups to manage timelines and priorities
- Being a focal point for the resolution of complex/client sensitive onboarding queries
Experience Required
- Ability to manage several projects at once, under pressure and ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Ability to deal with non-standard activities and have the initiative to derive solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both electronic and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver to agreed deadlines/proactively manage expectations
- Good analytical skills, capable of thinking logically, using initiative and systematically able to resolve complex operational problems
- Previous onboarding or transition experience from asset management, banking, or transition management would be beneficial
