We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to support financial operations within a dynamic marketing and advertising environment. This role involves managing vendor invoice processing, payment posting, and AP mailbox oversight, while collaborating closely with cross-functional finance teams. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounts payable activities, assist with audit preparation, and provide guidance for team training and development. Accountabilities:
- Oversee and maintain the accounts payable mailbox, ensuring all emails and inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and on time, leading the posting of payments in the ERP system.
- Reconcile vendor statements regularly to ensure alignment and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal finance teams, including AR and corporate finance, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Support audit preparation and maintain organized financial records.
- Assist with team training and development, sharing best practices and process improvements.
- Review and submit invoices daily to ensure timely posting of accounts payable transactions.
- Manage monthly 1099 maintenance and assist in issuing 1099 forms to vendors.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or a closely related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Proficiency with enterprise-level accounting systems and ability to multitask across multiple applications.
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and business partners.
- Ability to prioritize strategically and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
