This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Associate Full-Stack Engineer in India.
In this role, you will join a high-impact engineering team working on a mature global SaaS platform focused on digital data privacy and governance. You will contribute across the full stack, from building responsive user interfaces to strengthening backend services and cloud infrastructure. The environment is highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on ownership and technical curiosity. You will regularly engage in deep debugging work, tracing complex system behavior to identify root causes. The role also involves supporting the evolution of a modern cloud-native architecture. It is well-suited for engineers who enjoy both building features and improving legacy systems. You will have the opportunity to grow in a product-driven, engineering-focused culture.
Accountabilities:
- Maintain & modernize an AWS-based SaaS platform while supporting its transition toward a more cloud-agnostic architecture, ensuring stability and scalability across services.
- Perform forensic debugging by investigating legacy codebases, tracing data flows, and identifying root causes to propose durable architectural improvements.
- Develop, test, and deliver full-stack features using Python for backend services and Vue.js for frontend components, ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Take ownership of maintenance tasks and QA responsibilities, collaborating closely with senior engineers and acting as a force multiplier for the team.
- Conduct independent research to resolve technical unknowns, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills before escalating issues when necessary.
Requirements:
- 1–4 years of professional experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Python and experience in Vue.js or similar frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Strong analytical and forensic mindset, with the ability to investigate complex systems and understand data flow across distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Git, particularly in maintaining or supporting production systems.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL, including query writing and optimization.
- Strong interest in web privacy, browser behavior, and modern web architecture concepts such as cookies, tracking pixels, and data governance.
- Bonus: Experience with the Strangler Pattern for legacy system migration and familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation aligned with the local Indian market via a Professional Employer Organization arrangement.
- Remote-first work setup with flexibility, requiring only a stable internet connection in India.
- Opportunity to work on a globally used SaaS product in the digital privacy and analytics space.
- Exposure to modern cloud-native architecture and large-scale system modernization initiatives.
- Continuous learning environment with strong engineering mentorship and ownership culture.
- Inclusive and values-driven workplace focused on trust, respect, ownership, and growth.
