This role offers an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional to influence decision-making and operational efficiency across core business functions. The Data Analyst will leverage large, complex datasets to uncover trends, identify root causes, and deliver actionable insights that improve risk management, fraud prevention, and operational performance. You will design and maintain data pipelines, develop dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, analysts, and product managers. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to translate data into clear recommendations. You will be directly contributing to business performance while supporting experimentation, machine learning initiatives, and continuous optimization of operational systems. Accountabilities:
- Act as a trusted business partner to operational teams, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
- Build, maintain, and optimize datasets and pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Python, and dbt.
- Design dashboards, metrics, and reports to provide actionable insights for fraud, funding, risk, and support teams.
- Conduct deep analyses of complex logs and datasets to inform scalable data models, reporting, analytics, and ML initiatives.
- Develop and automate key performance indicator reporting across operational teams.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with analysts, engineers, and product teams to support data-driven decision-making.
- Experiment, test hypotheses, and translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve operational outcomes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data management, ideally in fintech or high-growth environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience with Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience using dbt (data build tool) to model and organize data for reporting and decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and manage data pipelines with strong knowledge of data workflow orchestration.
- Experience creating clear, intuitive dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex insights.
- Ability to work closely with fraud, funding, finance, and customer support teams to optimize operational performance.
- Strong communicator, able to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in analytics, software engineering, economics, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and based in the U.S. or Canada.
