The Senior Recruiter is a high-ownership, execution-driven individual contributor role designed for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a PE-backed environment and takes pride in building disciplined, high-quality hiring outcomes.
You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for roles primarily in the United States, with occasional hiring support in LatAm and EMEA – personally driving sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement while applying strong judgment to identify talent aligned with business needs and performance standards.
PetDesk follows Who: The A Method for Hiring, a four-step hiring framework designed to consistently hire A Players. This role will serve as an expert practitioner of the Who method—ensuring it is applied rigorously across searches and helping hiring managers understand how to use the framework effectively.
This role requires comfort operating through the ebbs and flows of hiring demand. You’ll proactively build pipelines during slower periods, refine processes, and continuously raise the bar—ensuring PetDesk’s recruiting engine remains strong and disciplined at all times.

- Apply and champion the Who hiring framework, ensuring consistent use of scorecards, structured interviews, reference discipline, and A-Player standards across searches
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, guiding role definition, interview strategy, and providing clear, constructive challenges when needed
- Build and manage strong candidate pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter and proactive sourcing strategies aligned to the company’s ideal employee profile
- Evaluate high volumes of applicants with sound judgment, identifying candidates who meet A-Player criteria and business requirements
- Optimize and maintain the ATS (Lever), ensuring clean workflows, accurate data, effective reporting, and a strong experience for candidates and hiring managers
- Continuously improve recruiting operations, leveraging AI, automation, documentation, and process enhancements to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency
About you:
- 4–6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within a private-equity-backed or high-growth environment
- Demonstrated success hiring high-performing talent, with strong judgment around role fit and long-term performance
- Experience applying structured hiring methodologies (experience with Who: The A Method for Hiring is a strong plus)
- Strong expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter (or Recruiter Lite) and proactive sourcing strategies
- Proven ability to manage and evaluate large applicant volumes without compromising quality or fairness
- Comfort operating in environments with shifting priorities and variable hiring demand
- Great attention to detail, documentation, data integrity, and operational rigor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished, professional presence and respect for employer brand standards
