YOUR IMPACT
The People Operations Lead is responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving the systems, processes, and programs that support the employee lifecycle. This role blends operational excellence with a strong employee experience mindset, ensuring our people processes are compliant, efficient, human-centered, and aligned with company values.
You are a data-driven problem solver who believes that seamless operations are the foundation of a high-trust culture. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, data-driven problem-solver, ensuring our People Operations function is efficient, compliant, and scalable.
Operational Excellence & Scaling
- Process Design: Drive operational excellence by designing and implementing scalable, compliant global processes for core People Operations functions across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, leaves of absence, offboarding, promotions, and internal transfers, with preference for automation wherever possible.
- Deep dive on existing processes and procedures to create best in class
- Align with operational rhythm of the business
- Compliance & Policy:
- Partner with SMEs and own compliance, including all Employee Handbooks, to ensure all People practice are staying current on all relevant local labor laws in all operating regions (UK, US, NL, DE, CAN, etc).
- Serve as the primary People Team POC for all annual audits and regular compliance reporting activities.
Strategy Design & Execution:
- Develop People Operations solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
- Provide direction and oversight of day-to-day work of junior People Operations Specialists
HR Technology & Data Intelligence
- HRIS Data Ownership:
- Act as the primary owner of HRIS data (e.g., Workday), ensuring data integrity and "single source of truth" reporting.
- Design and maintain people systems workflows that automate the employee experience, reduce manual errors, and deliver a seamless, high-quality employee UX across the lifecycle.
- Develop process and cadence for regular data audits
- Automation & AI: Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks to improve the "speed to service" for our employees.
Employee Experience & Support
- Act as the escalation point for complex employee queries regarding policy, benefits, and leaves of absence by managing the People Operations ticketing system and AI chatbot.
- Develop and execute strategy for maintaining internal and employee facing People Team resources that are easily accessible and can be referenced by AI tools.
- Collaborate with the Employee Experience Manager to participate in projects to further enhance and globalize our People Operations processes for a seamless employee experience.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 8+ years in HR/People Operations, ideally within a fast-paced global technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing and scaling HR systems, workflows, and automation to improve employee experience, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Workday is a must. Experience with Lattice, or similar enterprise-grade HRIS, and experience with AI-powered HR tools is a major plus.
- AI Literacy: Working knowledge of AI-enabled HR tools and automation platforms (e.g., AI features in HRIS, employee service tools, analytics platforms)
- Analytical Mindset: You enjoy "Excel-ing" and can translate a spreadsheet into a compelling narrative for the executive team.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex policy or benefit information in a way that feels supportive and clear, not bureaucratic.
- Legal Literacy: Strong understanding of UK and/or Global employment regulations (GDPR, ACAS, etc.).
- Highly organized with experience managing multiple projects; Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities and deliverables while managing stakeholder expectations. - Process-oriented mindset.
- Strong proficiency in Workday system configuration, security, reporting, and maintenance.
- Deep understanding of employee lifecycle workflows, and HR data architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization and external vendors.
- Experience in leading and managing highly visible projects.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, multi-task, and follow up on issues
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
