- Tax Accounting & Compliance: Handling end-to-end VAT data verification, difference analysis, and timely filing of tax returns, summary reports (VAT-EU), and Intrastat declarations.
- CIT Calculations: Verifying and calculating corporate income tax monthly/quarterly advance payments, deferred tax assets (DTA), and deferred tax liabilities (DTL).
- Financial Reporting & Closings: Supporting the preparation of annual and interim financial statements (Local GAAP/IFRS) and participating in month-end and year-end close activities.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Reconciling VAT records with general ledger accounts to protect R2R process integrity, and supporting internal/external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Risk Management & Internal Control: Coordinating risk assessment campaigns for GBS standalone and implementing Minimum Control Standards (MCS) for outsourced affiliate processes.
- Process Excellence & Innovation: Identifying process bottlenecks, updating legal/tax changes in the Oracle system, and designing automated reports or Power BI/Tableau dashboards.
- Business Partnership & Projects: Formally clarifying roles with affiliates, participating in cross-functional finance transformation projects (e.g., process migrations), and facilitating knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Professional Experience: 4–6 years or more of experience in accounting and taxes, including at least 2–3 years focused on statutory reporting, VAT, and CIT.
- Education & Standards: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with strong knowledge of Local GAAP (including the Polish Accounting Act) and IFRS.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent English at a C1/C2 level, with the capability to deliver presentations, conduct business discussions, and prepare formal management analyses.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level MS Excel skills (financial modeling, simulations, risk assessment) and proficiency in navigating financial modules of ERP systems (SAP/S/4HANA or Oracle).
- Business Acumen: Understanding the relationship between P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, and the ability to link non-financial metrics to company financial results.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel for business purposes up to approximately 15%.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to build professional relationships and engage in assertive discussions with executive leadership and diverse regional business units.
- Interpersonal & Matrix Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively within international, matrixed organizations and build trust across multi-country teams.
- Analytical & Personal Traits: Strong analytical thinking, exceptional attention to detail, proactive attitude, and the ability to organize tasks efficiently under time pressure.
