As we scale, we’re looking for a Contract Technical Recruiter to help us hire exceptional engineers and technical talent who are excited to build products with real-world impact.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end recruiting role responsible for owning the full hiring lifecycle for technical positions. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to understand needs, source and engage candidates, manage interview processes, and close hires while delivering a thoughtful, candidate-first experience.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and is comfortable with ambiguity.
Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles
Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, networks, referrals, and creative outreach strategies
Screen candidates for technical fit, experience, and alignment with Tin Can’s mission and values
Coordinate and manage interview loops, feedback collection, and candidate communication
Ensure a high-quality, inclusive, and timely candidate experience from first touch to offer
Support offer development, closing conversations, and handoff to onboarding
Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate records in our ATS (Ashby)
Continuously improve recruiting processes, templates, and sourcing strategies as we scale
3+ years of experience as a technical recruiter, including full-cycle ownership
Experience recruiting engineers in startup or high-growth environments
Strong sourcing skills and comfort engaging passive candidates
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities without sacrificing quality
Collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable operating with limited structure
Experience working as a contractor or in fractional recruiting roles is a plus
