Supply Chain Assistant

The Supply Chain Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across our inventory, supplier relationships, and shipment processes. This is a hands-on role for someone with a technical background (accounting or engineering preferred) who is eager to learn “nose to tail” about the business and become a core part of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SKU-level forecasts; set reorder points, safety stock, and lead-time assumptions.
• Keep inventory accurate across channels; run cycle counts and resolve variances.
• Source and manage suppliers: issue RFQs, compare quotes/MOQs/lead times, place and track POs.
• Coordinate shipping (parcel/LTL/air/sea), compare transportation costs, and minimize landed cost.
• Maintain precise product weights & dimensions, packaging specs, and documentation (HS codes, customs forms).
• Update Shopify (SKUs/variants, shipping profiles, kits/bundles) and ensure data quality.
• Produce weekly reports/dashboards (sell-through, turns, weeks of cover, OTIF, backorders).
• Handle day-to-day email communications with vendors, 3PLs/carriers, and internal teams.

Requirements

• • 2+ years in supply chain, inventory, purchasing, or logistics (e-commerce preferred).
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, nested formulas; basic modeling); strong quantitative skills.
  • Shopify inventory admin experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail—especially product dimensions/weights driving rates and packing.
  • Clear, timely written communication; organized and follow-through oriented.
  • Nice to have: Industrial Engineering background; experience with specialty/outdoor hard goods; exposure to BI/SQL, 3rd Party Logistics, or tools like ShipStation/Cin7/inFlow.
