The Centre for Systems Equity through Education and Discovery (SEED) is a new collaborative centre established to strengthen the infrastructure, organizational capacity, and strategic partnerships needed to advance systems equity across UHN Research.
Systems equity recognizes that equitable outcomes are achieved not only through individual initiatives, but through intentional attention to the structures, policies, processes, and practices that shape how organizations operate. SEED serves as the coordinating infrastructure for systems equity across UHN Research. Through education, the Centre builds knowledge, skills, and organizational capacity. Through discovery, it supports research, innovation, partnerships, and the generation of new knowledge. Together, these activities create the conditions needed to embed systems equity across research and, over time, more broadly across UHN.
The Centre connects existing initiatives, develops new programs and resources, supports organizational change, fosters strategic partnerships, and advances evaluation and knowledge mobilization. Through this work, SEED aims to strengthen research excellence, improve outcomes for the diverse populations UHN serves, and position UHN as a leader in advancing systems equity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established Centre and help shape its educational programming, operations, and long-term impact from the ground up.
