As the Head of Risk, you are responsible for the strategic integration of risk management into our core business operations. Your mission is to act as a senior business partner to the management team, ensuring that both financial and non-financial risks are managed to support our growth.
You will lead the development and execution of a robust risk framework that ensures full compliance with BaFin and FCA standards, including MaRisk, ICAAP, ILAAP, and ICARA. By leveraging data-driven insights and automated monitoring, you will strengthen our internal control systems and provide the transparency needed for confident decision-making. Your goal is to safeguard our assets and scale our risk infrastructure as we expand our footprint in the investment landscape.
Design and execute a comprehensive framework that unifies financial and non-financial risks, ensuring alignment with our long-term business objectives.
Partner with the Management to shape the organization’s trajectory through high-level risk forecasts, strategic insights, and policy refinement.
Oversee capital and liquidity adequacy while ensuring total alignment with BaFin and FCA standards and evolving industry benchmarks.
Implement data-driven assessment techniques and predictive models to improve the precision of our risk quantification and early-warning systems.
Act as a senior advisor across the organization to embed a risk-aware mindset, integrating risk considerations into daily decision-making and workflows.
Serve as the point of contact for regulators, investors, and auditors, building trust through transparent and rigorous reporting.
Lead and build out a sophisticated risk department, fostering a culture of technical excellence and autonomy while staying ahead of global industry trends.
7+ years of experience in risk management within fintech or financial services.
Proven ability to scale risk management practices in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Comprehensive understanding of BaFin and FCA regulatory frameworks, including ICAAP, ILAAP, and ICARA.
Strategic thinking with the ability to turn complex risk and regulatory topics into actionable plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
Experience influencing and leading cross-functional stakeholders toward strategic impact.
