Verse Medical is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) solution for healthcare providers and insurance companies (payors). As our Payor Relations Specialist, you’ll own processes for Verse’s Medicaid enrollments, commercial payor credentialing, and day-to-day operations and relationship management with contracted payor partners.
Within your first year, you will have the opportunity to:
Own the credentialing process when Verse contracts with payors - complete and submit all relevant company information, prepare contracts for signature, etc.
Collaborate with payors and Verse’s internal revenue cycle management team to confirm all required manuals, fee schedules, and other materials have been transmitted upon contract completion
Attend payor orientation meetings and schedule regular check-ins with contracted commercial payors
Own Verse’s payor relations email inbox and triage relevant messages/actions with other members of the payor relations and revenue cycle management team
Monitor enrollment statuses and renew Verse’s Medicaid enrollments across all 51 state Medicaid programs
Enroll Verse in new state-sponsored programs that expand our patient population
Monitor relevant policy changes at a state and national level
Represent Verse to payors in emails, phone calls, and video calls
Assist with commercial payor business development efforts

Core Skills & Experience:
3+ years in a relevant role (e.g. credentialing, contracting, or payor relations at a healthcare provider; or in provider relations at a payor); ancillary provider experience a big plus
Zero defect mindset: Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
Excellent written and spoken communication.
Consultative and adaptable, willing to take feedback and iterate accordingly.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Experience managing long-term projects.

Meaningful Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 base salary + $5,000 target annual bonus

Work Environment & Location:
This role is based in our New York City office in Chelsea. We have a hybrid model, with a requirement of 4 days per week in the office to foster collaboration and innovation.
