About the Role:
We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our Datacor Team. This person will have a strong background in process manufacturing to drive the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for our asset tracking and formulation products. This role bridges technical expertise with customer-focused storytelling to ensure our solutions are clearly differentiated in the market.
The ideal candidate will combine product marketing experience with a strong understanding of process manufacturing, enabling them to translate complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions for chemical distribution operators and decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
Market Positioning & Messaging
- Develop differentiated product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for Datacor’s TrackAbout asset tracking and Datacor formulation products in the chemical and animal nutrition industries.
- Understand how to position and cross-sell formulation and distribution products to chemical, food and beverage, and animal nutrition ERP customers.
- Understand the buyer’s journey, identify relevant areas where buyers obtain information for product evaluation and why and how they buy, specific to the mid-market ($50M - $500M).
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches and major releases, working cross-functionally with product management, sales, demand generation, and services teams.
- Content Creation: Develop marketing content including blog posts, website copy, white papers, solution briefs and datasheets. Work with outside vendors on video and additional content creation needed to meet business unit revenue goals.
- Write and execute email campaigns (content copy) to promote product adoption and company information.
- Partner with events and demand generation teams to develop prospective marketing campaigns including webinars, conferences, trade shows, and email marketing.
- Work with global channel partners and provide marketing assets that enable them to effectively promote and sell our solutions.
Customer & Market Insight
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and trends.
- Gather customer feedback to create customer testimonials, inform product roadmaps and marketing strategy.
- Develop buyer personas and map customer journeys to guide marketing programs and internal sales team for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
Sales Enablement & External Engagement
- Build and maintain a comprehensive library of sales enablement materials including presentations, product demo videos, training guides, data sheets and more.
- Develop and deliver (as needed) presentation decks for customer meetings, conferences, and sales engagements.
- Ability to plan and execute quarterly product launches to existing customers and net-new buyers in alignment with go-to-market plans.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, or a related role within process manufacturing software or knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical skills with experience conducting competitive and market analysis.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; comfortable creating content for both user and business audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision, while meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Desired: Knowledge of Hubspot, Asana, Confluence/Jira, and Salesforce.
