Director of Brand & Communications (Health Tech)

Your Opportunity

We’re hiring a Director of Brand & Communications to define, own, and scale the brand and communications strategy across Dreem Health and Sunrise.

This is a fully remote role, but you must live and work in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

This role is 80% focused on Dreem Health, our virtual sleep clinic helping people get the care they need to sleep better, and 20% on Sunrise, our MedTech arm developing diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for sleep apnea.

This is a senior, high-impact role reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, operating at the intersection of:

• Strategy: Defining brand positioning, narrative, and messaging frameworks
• Creative Direction: Setting the bar for content quality, storytelling, and experimentation
• Execution & Leadership: Building systems, processes, and a small but mighty content team that delivers consistently

You’ll be the primary owner of the brand, both internally and externally, shaping how patients, clinicians, partners, and the broader market experience Dreem Health and Sunrise.

What You’ll Do

• Own brand and communications strategy end-to-end, defining positioning, messaging, and voice across Dreem Health (80%) and Sunrise (20%).
• Set and execute the organic content strategy across social, website, landing pages, blog, email, PR narratives, and marketing enablement materials.
• Lead and develop a small content team, starting with a junior/mid-level Social Media & Content Manager, and scale production through freelancers or agencies as needed.
• Translate clinical expertise and patient outcomes into compelling, credible storytelling for patients, clinicians, partners, and media.
• Provide creative direction while staying close to execution, leveraging AI and modern tools to move fast and test new formats.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience leading brand, content, or communications in a healthcare or wellness tech/fast-growing environment.
• Proven experience owning a brand narrative end-to-end, not just executing content.
• Strong storyteller, creative instincts and visual sensibility.
• Ability to turn complex clinical or technical topics into simple, engaging, trustworthy content.
• Comfort using modern tools and AI (e.g., Figma, Canva, ChatGPT, Midjourney, short-form video tools).
• Familiarity with SEO and content performance tooling (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Genuine interest in sleep, health, and helping people better understand and improve their well-being.

Compensation

$130,000 - $140,000 base salary depending on experience.
