This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista de Testes Automatizados Sênior based in Brazil.
This is an opportunity for a senior QA professional to play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of technology solutions within Brazil’s energy market.
You will work hands-on with test automation, with Robot Framework as a core technology, while helping evolve automation architecture and engineering practices.
The role combines test strategy, automation development, API validation, defect analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, architects, and other QA professionals in an agile environment.
There is strong emphasis on CI/CD integration, reusable automation frameworks, observability of test execution, and prevention of defects.
You will also contribute to technical standards, quality indicators, code reviews, and the continuous evolution of the QA practice.
The position is 100% remote and structured for a highly autonomous, proactive, and technically hands-on professional.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated test scenarios and suites, primarily using Robot Framework, applying reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation practices.
- Contribute to the evolution of the automation framework architecture, technical standards, guidelines, and development best practices.
- Analyze new business and technical scenarios, identifying opportunities and priorities for test automation.
- Execute automated tests, investigate failures, analyze logs and evidence, and distinguish between product defects, environmental issues, and automation-related failures.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Plan and define functional, regression, integration, exploratory, system, acceptance, API, and other relevant testing strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, supporting reliable execution across different environments.
- Monitor automation results and proactively reduce flaky tests, infrastructure-related failures, and other sources of instability.
- Validate application and database data before and after test execution, using SQL where required.
- Support other QA professionals technically, sharing knowledge and helping improve automation maturity across the team.
- Participate in technical discussions around quality, architecture, automation strategy, and software engineering practices.
- Conduct code reviews of automation solutions and contribute to the definition of quality metrics, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within agile teams, participating in ceremonies and promoting quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience in software test automation, including the design, implementation, maintenance, and evolution of automated test suites.
- Advanced experience with Robot Framework, including Keywords, suite organization, component reuse, parametrization, and automation best practices.
- Experience automating web applications and familiarity with additional frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Programming experience with Python, Java, or another language used for test automation.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, acceptance, exploratory, and API testing.
- Practical knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of software testing techniques, test strategy, risk identification, and defect prevention, including Shift Left practices.
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases and the ability to use SQL for data validation and test support.
- Experience working with Git and version-control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, including integrating automated test suites into build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with test and task management tools such as Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Clean Code, automation framework architecture, reusable components, and strategies for reducing flaky tests.
- Experience conducting code reviews and establishing automation standards and guidelines.
- Solid experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban, and collaborating with multidisciplinary technology teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and improving product quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Postgraduate education or certifications in Software Quality are considered a plus.
- Differentiators include experience with Docker, performance testing, mobile testing, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), advanced automation frameworks, and quality indicators.
- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications are also considered a plus.
