This role offers the opportunity to combine building systems engineering, energy analysis, and customer success to improve the performance of commercial buildings.
You will work closely with customers to identify opportunities that make buildings more efficient, sustainable, and resilient.
The position blends technical expertise with commercial awareness, requiring you to translate complex building systems data into measurable business value.
You will collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to improve solutions, onboard building data, and enhance data quality.
As you develop expertise, you will become a trusted technical authority and help shape solutions for evolving customer needs.

Accountabilities
- Partner closely with Customer Success teams and customers to deliver measurable value, support renewals, and help mitigate churn.
- Analyze commercial building systems and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, operational performance, and financial outcomes.
- Use quantitative analysis and engineering expertise to model efficiency initiatives and translate system optimization into verified energy and cost savings.
- Support the onboarding and integration of building systems data, while helping improve data processing, quality, and technical tooling.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance solutions, refine customer-facing capabilities, and contribute to AI-powered building technologies.
- Act as a technical advisor for customers, translating complex HVAC, controls, and building performance concepts into clear recommendations for both operational and executive stakeholders.
- Support new business opportunities by demonstrating strong product knowledge and connecting technical solutions to customer priorities.
- Progress from learning the technology and shadowing customer interactions to independently managing accounts and ultimately becoming a technical authority on building performance solutions.
- Bring customer insights and technical observations back to internal teams to influence product development and the broader solution roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in energy consulting, building performance, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC and building control systems, including technologies such as chillers, boilers, and building management systems.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, with the ability to model energy-efficiency initiatives and quantify financial and operational impact.
- Ability to understand complex technical information and communicate it clearly to customers, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
- Strong relationship-building and customer management skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish trust and advocate for customer outcomes.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to take ownership in a fast-changing environment.
- Genuine interest in SaaS, artificial intelligence, innovation, and emerging technologies applied to the built environment.
- Strong leadership instincts, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a bias toward action.
- Experience in SaaS customer success, familiarity with SkySpark, or proficiency with agentic AI tools is a plus.
